Upon retiring from the Navy, Guy's son Larry and his family moved to Lake Zurich. Around that time, Guy and Tommie were doing all tax returns by hand. Larry started teaching Guy how to use a computer and then how to use a tax software program. After 5 years of teaching mathematics full time, Larry switched to part time and began actively working in the tax practice.
In 2005, Larry left teaching behind and started doing tax work full time. Like Guy had done, Larry also obtained a life and health insurance license and became a Notary Public. In addition to offering insurance and annuity products, we also offer financial coaching and budget counseling.
Guy retired after the 2008 tax season, but remained an active participant in the practice, serving as the "Tax Man Emeritus," until his death in 2013. Larry's wife Judy started working in the tax business around 2000 and supervises our out of state clients and helps at the Lake Zurich office. Tommie remained active in the business until 2019 and was always available to chat with long time clients and friends. Heather, Larry's daughter -in-law, joined the firm in 2017 and provides support at the Lake Zurich office.
